What is this magnet used for?

Suitable for hanging lightweight objects, displays, lighting, signs, and fixtures in workshops and interior construction. The steel pot concentrates the magnetic force onto the flat front side, giving a pot magnet significantly more holding force on steel than the same magnet without a pot. Using the countersunk hole, you can screw the magnet flush into wood, plastic, or metal. Do not overtighten the screw: the magnetic material is brittle. Which pot magnet should you choose?

The holding force is measured under ideal conditions on a flat steel plate; in practice, the actual holding force is lower. Read how holding force is determined.

Safe use

Magnets are not toys and should be kept out of the reach of children. Keep strong magnets away from pacemakers, electronics, and bank cards. Powerful magnets can snap together or against metal with force; keep your fingers away.
