Magnet dispenser: work faster, safer and more efficiently with small magnets
Why a magnet dispenser is useful when handling disc magnets: your fingers won't get caught, you work faster, and you damage fewer magnets. And when it is worth it.
Anyone who works with small neodymium disc magnets frequently knows the problem: the magnets stick firmly together and snap together unexpectedly. Fingers easily get caught in between, and when handling many magnets in a row, this becomes annoying. A magnet dispenser solves this by sliding the magnets out of the stack one by one.
What customers experience
Customers who use our dispenser indicate that it makes processing the magnets easier. Their fingers no longer get stuck in between, which makes working more pleasant. We designed the dispenser ourselves. It is 3D-printed and handmade, and the blue slider can be changed.
The advantages at a glance
- Safer: your fingers won't get caught between the magnets.
- Faster: you take the magnets out of the stack one by one without having to pry them apart.
- Less damage: magnets don't snap together as hard, so the coating is less likely to be damaged and fewer corners break off.
- Less strain: you need to apply less force during repetitive work.
When is a dispenser useful?
Especially if you repeat the same action frequently:
- placing magnets into products or packaging;
- making magnetic closures and displays;
- model building and 3D-printed products with built-in magnets;
- assembling magnet sets.
If you only use a few magnets occasionally, the difference is smaller. If you work with dozens or hundreds of magnets, you will notice it quickly.
Which dispenser fits my magnets?
The diameter of the dispenser is a maximum: disc magnets with a smaller diameter will also fit. You choose the height based on the thickness of your magnet; if you have a different thickness, simply swap the blue slider. You can order a separate slider via our contact form. A detailed explanation can be found in What is a magnet dispenser?. You can find the magnets themselves in our disc magnets section.
Frequently asked questions
Does a dispenser damage the magnets?
No. You remove the magnets from the stack in a controlled manner, so they don't snap together as hard.
Is a dispenser also useful for small quantities?
It is especially helpful if you are processing many magnets in succession. For just a few magnets, the benefit is limited.
