What is this magnet used for?

Powerful: suitable for workshops and assembly, jigs and fixtures, signs, and heavier objects. The steel pot concentrates the magnetic force towards the flat front side, giving a pot magnet on steel much more holding force than the same magnet without a pot. The rubber coating protects the surface against which the magnet is placed and provides grip, preventing it from sliding. The threaded stud protrudes from the pot; you screw it into a threaded hole or secure it with a nut. Which pot magnet should you choose?
