All holding forces are measured under ideal conditions and may differ in practice.
You're looking for hassle-free grip. This pot magnet, Ø13 x 4.5 mm, is ideal when something needs to sit flush against a wall, shelf, or profile, featuring a countersunk hole for flat mounting. The steel casing concentrates the strength of the N40 neodymium, and the NiCuNi coating gives it that understated metallic look.
The size is compact, but the pull is robust. Screw it in with a countersunk screw, and it will lie flush with the surface. Handy for displays, furniture, shop fittings, or a hanging point in dry indoor spaces. Not for outdoor use.
You often grab it when something needs to stay in place temporarily: a panel, sign, or part that you want to remove later. The NdFeB material feels exactly as you'd expect from a neodymium magnet: hard, compact, and immediate in its action. Small form. Serious adhesion.
According to the declarations of conformity provided by the manufacturer, this product complies with the current European RoHS Directive and REACH Regulation.

Neodymium magnets are very powerful and can bounce off each other and/or iron objects at high speed. The force increases as the magnet gets larger, which also increases the risk of breakage. Two of the larger magnets in our range are powerful enough to break fingers or at least cause a few large blisters.
Therefore, wear work gloves and keep magnets away from children. Also, keep Neodymium (NdFeB) magnets at a safe distance from people with pacemakers. This also applies to electronic devices and payment cards.
Neodymium magnets are still the most powerful magnets available today. Our super-strong magnets also remain magnetic virtually indefinitely, provided they are not exposed to the maximum operating temperature or are used with opposite poles.
The letters and numbers in the material coding have the following meaning: The N stands for Neodymium, the subsequent digits indicate the maximum magnetic energy expressed in MgOe. If there are no further letters after this, the magnet can be used up to 80 degrees Celsius.
If there are still letters behind it, it can reach a higher temperature.
We indicate adhesive force in grams or kilograms because this appeals to more people than Newton. The indicated force is measured perpendicular to the magnet. The adhesive force is the force required to pull a smooth, flat steel object (ST37) at least 10 millimeters thick from the magnet in question.
This force quickly diminishes when, for example, there's a gap or layer of paint between the magnet and the object. Even half a millimeter can reduce the force by half. A steel alloy or a rough surface also significantly reduces the holding force.
As mentioned, the direction of the adhesive force is perpendicular to the magnet, but the shear force is much smaller and also depends on the friction between the magnet and the object.
