What is this magnet used for?

Powerful: suitable for workshops and assembly, molds and fixtures, signs, and heavier objects. The steel pot concentrates the magnetic force onto the flat front side, giving a pot magnet significantly more holding force on steel than the same magnet without a pot. With the internal thread (threaded bush), you can screw the magnet onto a bolt or threaded rod, for example in a construction, display, or piece of furniture. Which pot magnet should you choose?
